History of 93 Coffee

We named the coffee the 93 story coffee in order to commemorate the martyrs of Division 93 army, retreated to the mountains of northern Thailand during civil war in 1949.

As Kuomintang army was defeated in civil war and 93 DiviSoon was left abandoned while having crossed the border in northern Thailand, Burma (As Myanmar was called), cut off from supply and command central, was left to survive off the land where they stood upon, in a small town called “Meisi Le, or in Thai: Maesalong Maefuhluang Chiangrai Thailand”

Its located at the joint Thailand, Laos, and Burmese border nearby where better known as the Golden Triangle.
Once the powerful fighting machine of Kuomintang Eighth Army, later became remnants of the Sino-Japanese war, suffered enormous casualty as the Chinese expedition army in Burma but defeated the Japanese by guerilla warfare in the mountainous region, became famous among local people as the Chinese army called 93 divisions. And the name of 93 division prevailed.
